Hello. My name is Eudi. We plan on walking via Frencegina, 10th November 2024, From Lucca to Rome.
I would appreciate some guidance to our start time, the weather, conditions, and accomodation etc.

Eudi
Hi @Eudi weather conditions may vary, but in general, in November in Tuscany (Lucca) and Lazio (Rome) you can expect autumn weather with cooler temperatures than in the summer months. You can expect highs of 15 degrees, sometimes rainy days, but in recent years the climate is very variable and it is difficult to make predictions. It is always advisable to check the weather forecast closest to your travel date for the most accurate information. Try to leave at 8am as it gets dark at 5pm.
The section from Lucca to Rome is 414 km. It is possible to walk from Lucca to Rome in 18/20 days depending on your walking pace.
You can use Forwalk webpage. It is a great resource with maps, information about the different stages and a list of accommodation open along the Via Francigena . It will tell you how far off the Camino an accommodation is. https://app.forwalk.org/4/5/en-us/13/#11.5/42.9/7/0
