Time of past OR future Camino
oktober 2012
HOLA!
My name is Klavdija, 22, from Slovenia. I arrive on Monday, October first afternoon in SJPP.
My plane lands at 15.05 from London-Stansted to Biarrizt. I was wondering what is the best and cheapest way to get to SJPP?

This time I walked for the first time and alone. Start walking second October. I plan to arrive in Santiago 30th. Then I want to get to Finesterre.
I wonder if I can get there up to 3 November, as the fourth I fly back home.

Will who go this time?

Thank you for all your answers.
I can`t believe it I am doing Camino. 

Hi Klavdija
29 days is quite fast from SJPdP to Santiago. That is an average of 27.5k a day. If you continue to walk at that speed then you can walk to Finisterre in three days.
There will be plenty of pilgrims along the way, even going to Finisterre.
You can travel by bus from Biarritz to Bayonne and catch the little train to SJPdP. This is the most popular choice. You should be able to find more detailed information about the times and prices elsewhere on the forum or hopefully people will add them soon to this thread!
cheers, tom

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Klavdija,

In Saint-Jean the pilgrim office, the Amis du Chemin de Saint Jacques, is at 39 rue de la Citadelle. Their telephone is 05 59 37 05 09. In season the office is open from 7h30 to 12h30 and then from 13h30 to 22h.They can provide you with a Pilgrim Credential AND lodging assistance.

Their volunteers help run the albergue at 55 rue de la Citadelle. Recently renovated and with 32 bunk beds this is a fine place to stay, but they do NOT take reservations. However if their albergue is full they will help you find other pilgrim lodgings when you are on site in SJPdP.

Here is the CURRENT timetable until 8 December for the TER train line 62 from Bayonne to SJPdP. The trip takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. SJPdP is the last stop. All trains do NOT go every day.

Hi Klavdija!

You can certainly get to Santiago in the time you have if you are reasonably fit. You're 22 years old so you should be fine!

One problem you might have is when your new friends want to walk more slowly or take a rest day, which maybe you can't afford to do. You'll have to be confident enough to meet new groups of friends regularly along the way. That won't be difficult, and you might be lucky and find others who want to walk at your pace from the start! Just remember it's your Camino and you'll share it with others and they will share theirs with you! You'll have a great time.

Buen Camino!
