Would like to hear from others who have walked in March. I know this year was a dreadful early spring weather-wise so would like to hear of others' experiences in prior years. Thinking of walking from Porto to SDC, then travel to Oviedo to do the Primitivo. (Have walked CF twice and last time barely recognized it because of "upgrades" to many paths!!)

I walked from Porto to Santiago in February a couple of years ago. A couple of mornings with a little frost to begin with and one very wet day. Otherwise no problem with the weather and a very pleasant quiet journey. I walked the Primitivo one April in very fine weather though there was a very cold wind on the day I walked the Hospitales section. I would think that the Primitivo is far more likely to be a problem than the Portugues as it has several high sections which could easily be hit by snowfall in March. Or there may be none. Always a gamble.

I walked CF both 2017 and 2018! 2017 was quite good! Actually the last section, from Sarria, which has the most rain annually was unseasonably warm and no rain whatsoever. 2018 weather was a nightmare!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thanks Bradypus that's a really helpful account. I might be back in touch!

Thankyou Marbe2. Would not want to walk the CF again but you we're brave to tough it out this year, for sure! The weather pattern has changed so much. Early last November I was still getting sunburned on the CF!

Hello, I lost my GoPro with all my pictures on the Camino between Pedra Furada and Aborim last week. Is there a lost and found in SDC? Any other ideas? Thanks and Buen Camino.
I’ll be finishing the Caminho Português next month. Last year I wore Hoka Challenger 6 ATR shoes. I did have some blisters and foot pain, but a lot could have been due to the 30+km days from...
