Oi , we will walking the Portuguse coastal camino in October, does anyone know where we can buy Altus raincoats/ponchos in Lisbon or Porto... or where we can buy them online and have them delivered to Australia? Thank you and buen Camino

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I ordered mine online from Peregrinoteca in Spain.
If you use Google Chrome you can translate the site.
It arrived promptly in Australia with no dramas.

Hi Belinda, I have a large (red) altus Puncho availabe for free, (only worn once) if you would like to have it, just send me your contact details and I will be happy to post it on. no charge. Cheers
Hello kevhan, thank you for your kind offer. Too kind I am afraid... if you do send the poncho to me I would like to make a 20 euro donation to this site in return. Regards Belinda

  1. Oops, just should clarify that mine was not an Altus but the Ferrino Trekker equivalent to the original heavy duty Altus. I'm 172cm/62 kg and the S/M worked brilliantly. In heavy rains of April/May this year my pack & I stayed completely dry.

The Ferrino Trekker is brilliant when it is really cold, makes climbing up O Cebreiro in a blizzard nearly a pleasure ;-) but it is mortal when it is warm/hot due to its reflective inner lining. Buen Camino, SY

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Sent on an address and I will post it on, no problem :) Beun Camino.
Ola kevhan, thanks again for kind offer but I think it is too much to ask for you to mail it to me so I will purchase one through the peregrinoteca. Ps, I am now a donating member... should have done this ages ago considering how much info I have gotten from this site. Kind regards Belinda

Is it the norm to wear a Ferrino or Altus poncho with rain pants? Or is the poncho enough to keep the legs warm/dry? I am hiking the Portuguese Camino in April.
