Hello all. Where did you stay in Los Arcos? It could be an albergue or a pension or hotel. Would you recommend it? Jill

Hi!
In 2009 I didn't stay in Los Arcos that's why I decided to sleep in this quaint village in 2011. I choosed Casa de Austria:
http://www.gronze.com/navarra/arcos/albergue-fuente-casa-austria
It has lovely two patios, one at the entrance and the second one, larger, at the back. Food also available, good showers and loos, selling drinks etc. As I remember at that time it was the first albergue to the right in the side street soon after entering the village.

Casa de la Abuela is centrally located and a perfect place with both private rooms and albergue dorms. See http://www.casadelaabuela.com/

Another good private place is the Pension Mavi near the bus stop; their restaurant offers very good inexpensive meals. See http://www.pensionmavi.es

Both are friendly and very tidy!

Buen camino!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I stayed at Casa de la Abuela because of recommendations here on the forum. I remember passing Casa de Austria on my way there. While out for dinner I learned that people seemed equally happy at both. When I was there in 2013 the breakfast was outstanding at Casa de la Abuela. For a small fee I enjoyed a real breakfast (with meat) and good coffee rather than the normal toast and watered down coffee. I think I've heard that there are different owners there now.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Half my friends stayed at Casa de la Abuela (including me), the other half stayed at Casa Austria. We were all happy.
Have to say that the breakfast at Casa de la Abuela was indeed wonderful.

First camino I stayed at Casa de la Abuela in a private room it was great very friendly owners and dined at restaurant Mavi - on my second camino I stayed at the the muni Isaac Santiago and dined on sardines both experiences were equally memorable for all the right reason, this year I will stay at the Muni Albergue again.

Buen Camino Jill

Like Doug I stayed at the Albergue de Peregrino Casa de Austria in Los Arcos, it was fine, the showers were a bit iffy, but we had great company there with our Camino family so it was memorable for all the right reasons. It was here that one of the girls that we walked with regularly and who had arrived late, did not fully understand the nuances of the English language, asked me "is it OK if I sleep on top of you Pat" referring to the top bunk over me. The whole room cracked up at that.
