Where to get camino passport at Lavacolla and Sarria?

Time of past OR future Camino
Going for Camino walk this Nov.
Hello, I am currently at Lavacolla and leaving tomorrow 11am to catch the bus to Sarria. Is that possible for me to get camino passport so I can get a stamp? I heard it is only available at big churches at Santiago de Compostela? Do you think it is worth it for me to take a bus tomorrow morning to buy passport at Santiago de Compostela? I need to catch 11am bus at Lavacolla. Should I just forget about the passport? I think it would be too rush. I googled it takes about 1 hour by public transport and 2 hours for 9 km walk. Not sure if I should walk there in the morning and catch a bus back to Lavacolla just for the passport.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Some of the albergues in Sarria sell the credential (Pilgrim Passport), including the municipal albergue, which will open at 13:00:

You will definitely want a credential if you want to receive a Compostela in Santiago (make sure that you get it stamped twice a day). You will also need one to stay in some albergues.

The Church of Santa Mariña de Sarria, Monastery La Magdalena is supposed to have credentials.

Here's a blog post about where to get a credential in Sarria:

If you cannot get a credential, you can also use any paper. It does not have to be an official credential.. It is good to date the stamps. But do get two per day from Sarria if you want a compostella.

Yes, kind of …

If you start on plain paper you’ll need to add it to an official credencial before arriving at Santiago, or take your chances when you get to the office.

Affixing plain paper to extend an already full credencial is well accepted.

We picked up extras at an albergue in Sarria, then noticed that quite a few have them. Just look for the street with all the cafes.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
