Time of past OR future Camino
Frances (?) (2018)
My mom and I have managed to carve out about a week and a half of actual hiking in late September/early October. We'd like to take our time and not push too hard (my mom is 65).

We'd been planning on doing the Frances, but there are so many beautiful ways to choose from.

Anyone got a recommendation? Should we stick with the Frances?

Do you want to end up this year in Santiago?
How many kilometers you can walk comfortably each day?
What is your budget/day?

Several possibilities came to mind:

The classical Frances from Ponferrada.
The Camino Invierno, also from Poneferrada.
The Camino Portugues fom Porto.

Take your pick ;-)

A slow Camino Ingles, taking 8 or 9 walking days from Ferrol and stop over in Betanzos to see the churches and Pasatiempo gardens.
Break Betanzos to Bruma by staying 2 nights in Meson do Vento and using the shuttle service or a taxi to break the stage, or stay in the new albergue at Presedo.
Gronze has details of distances etc.
A great first Camino ☺
