Time of past OR future Camino
I am on the camino now.
I am on the camino now and just mailed a box to the post office in santiago. It is supposed to be picked up April 27. I don't think I will get there until about May 6-7. Should I worry?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Besides this wonderful forum, Ivar offers parcel storage in Santiago. Reasonably priced and from what I understand, as hassle-free as it comes.

I cannot access my email or the forum so I couldnot get his address that is where I wanted to send it. I am in logrono today and needed to send it somewhere. After sending it I created another login to the forum but now it is too late.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Well, Kathy, as a worrier, I know that worrying doesn't help, but that doesn't stop me from worrying! I think the post office is erratic in their practices and you might just be lucky enough to find it there when you arrive. But if you're a worrier.... One option might be to PM Ivar to see if he can pick it up in Santiago within the window of time and then take it over to his storage place. I know that Ivar is in that post office on a daily basis.

Let us know how the Camino is going for you -- and try to make it to the daily forum meet-up in the Cafe Tertulia once you arrive in Santiago! https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/forum-meetup-in-santiago-de-compostela.32183/

Buen camino, Laurie

The official rule for the post office (for all of Spain I think) is that they will store it for 14 days before it is sent back to where it was sent from.

The post office in Santiago, since they are a pilgrim destination, say they will keep it for longer than 14 days, but they will not tell anyone for how long they will keep it. Many pilgrims recover their parcels from the post office after having walked for 30 days, and all is good. Once in a while you hear stories that something was sent back to where it was sent from before the 30 days, and that becomes a problem.

I offer this service:
https://www.caminodesantiago.me/luggage-storage-in-santiago-de-compostela/

Totally optional. It has a cost, but I will keep it for as long as you like (I say 60 days, but will keep it linger if you need more time).

Buen camino!
