Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Last year about 20 pilgrims per day arrived in Santiago in February, presumably having left in January. Sixty-two percent were Spanish, and seventy-five percent were on the Camino Frances. About two per day left SJPdP. That is about six per day in the later stages for non-Spanish speakers, with Korea being the largest foreign group.

Don't expect a lot of company, great weather, or open facilities everywhere. Albergues are most likely to be open in the guidebook stage destinations.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I went from Pamplona in Feb, after going from Le Puy to Pamplona the previous year, (leaving Le Puy in the cold of early spring.)

I'm sociable, but just can't handle crowds and heat. Cold Caminos suit me. They're a different experience, but a very worthwhile one.

It's all good!

It is definitely doable. That time frame does not appeal to the majority of pilgrims, but I found it to be perfect. I will be leaving again at the end if this month. Not to worry you will find enough companionship and sufficient lodging. Go and enjoy the beauty of the winter landscape. It is a great time of the year to walk.
