Does anyone know of a maps dot me file that works well for Camino Frances? I'm on Frances right now.

When one zooms in on the map, the text should get larger. It doesn't. On these aging eyes and small screen the file is not usable.

Also, the colors of the icons need to be vivid and not muted. It all looks alike. I actually can't see any icon design whatsoever. That's how small and unusable the file is. Not sure why the path is brown instead of yellow. Basically everything looks alike.

The file I have shows water. Thanks. It's not an issue in the fall.

This is what's needed: Grocery store, convenience store, ATM, cell phone stores, farmacia, Office of tourism, bus stations, sporting goods stores like decathlon. Obviously albergues are a great thing to show. Bars / cafes yes. I suppose some people want to visit churches.

Right now I see pretty much nothing on the file I downloaded.

The file for the Norte worked much better.

What do you good people suggest?

If someone thinks I have a setting incorrect on my iPhone, let me know.

Thanks!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hi @CaminoJoy123 ,
I used MAPS.ME but on an android device. My experience however is similar to yours. In particular the icons remain small when you zoom in and the colors are for the most part neutral.
A suggestion - go to Settings (bottom right of my device) and increase font size. The font does get larger as you zoom in and is much easier to read. Note: all of my settings are "on" which I think was the default.

When I was looking for something in particular, say an ATM. I would open the map on my device with my location highlighted and then:
- go to the search button (bottom left on my device)
- go to categories
- scroll to ATM (all ATM will be listed)
- touch, view on map. They will appear on the map without all the other stuff.
I did this for hotels, groceries etc and found it very helpful. Much easier than searching a busy map on a small screen.

This was my work around I hope you find it helpful.

btw - I never used the route map on the Frances. Didn't need it.

Buen Camino -
