Help. Arrived in zarza de grandilla tonight to walk to Salamanca. No trace of Camino signs no one knows where it is?????

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
If you can download the app Maps.me you can use it offline and work out your route.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi, hcmn,
As far as I can tell, you are not yet on the Via de la Plata. That's undoubtedly why no one could tell you where the Camino is! I did a quick google map search, and it looks to me like the closest places for you to join the camino are between the arch of Caparra and Aldeanueva del Camino. Good luck and buen camino, Laurie

Hi, you are on the wrong side of the motorway, and near the wrong embalse (lake). You probably took a wrong turn somewhere, and persisted.
You should have been somewhere on etapa 15 of the Vía de la Plata? Cáparra - Baños de Montemayor?

You'll be fine, just head east to Aldeanueva del Camino to re-join the Camino. This will provide a great story for your VdlP experience!

I don't think the Via de la Plata actually goes through Zarza de Grandilla. Make your way or get a ride to Caparra, Hostal Asturias on the N- 630, or even Aldeanueva del Camino, and you should be able to pick it up easily.

Edited to add: How did I miss the posts that were already posted to answer the question?! I must have used an old window.

You are out of the Way !
Go to La Granja it's next village and from there to N630 road to Salamanca!!
Better tell a taxi or someone yo give yo a ride!

Hi hmcn,
Looking back at my notes, I found myself a bit lost and off the VDLP on this same stretch. I used MAPS.ME to find my way to Hostal Asturias. You might be better off heading to Aldeanueva.

By the time you see this you will likely be back on course, but I thought I'd share my experience with maps.me. I have a tendency to daydream as I walk and missing Waymarkings on the VDLP is quite easy. Add to that - I was alone most days - I used MAPS.ME quite often to both confirm that I was where I thought I was and to get me back on the Camino.

Buen Camino

Thank you all for advice. We were staying in grandilla de la duque and carmen and her daughter sorted us. They are beautiful people.
