I have now come up with the "perfect" business idea for the busiest routes and stops. Because I hate the small microfiber towels and miss good well-being products when I travel, I think that transport companies can transport and offer these along the way. Perhaps people can send a message the night before if they want clean, soft high quality towels or other products such as shampoo/conditioner, different lotions, bathrobes, soft slippers, perfumes or the like. Then a van comes to the albergue and offers this for a small payment. Then they take the goods with them, wash/dry and drive to the next location. I think the idea is interesting.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Sounds like something that could work. Sheets and towels if nothing else.

Someone is going to suggest you could just take all those things yourself and use a pack transfer service! Not intending to rain on your parade, just considering alternatives before you invest significant euros in this venture!!
And maybe the title could do with being changed from necessities to luxuries ;-)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Jokes aside, they could probably do with some extra toilet facilities.

Re squat toilets. On the inca trail in peru, hikers managed to break the toilets at certain campsites. I'm not sure if it was vandalism or if people tried to squat on them but when they were replaced, squat toilets were installed instead.

Oops, I didn't win the best joke prize, I see 🫣
If it is any consolation: Yours was the one where I was not sure whether you are serious or joking because some strange suggestions for Camino improvements are made throughout the year on this forum ... 🤭

And you did join the fun a bit late: 9:30 pm local time! 🤭

Me too. I wasn’t sure, and didn’t want to offend @KariannNor - so I stepped away from the keyboard. Was relieved to see it was a joke 😍

So….. we had 1 inch of rain here at home in a 4 hour period. We found it and opportunity to test our packs/setup. We hiked 12 miles in pure downpour. We both wore shorts and no pack covers as mine...
I’ve been on Camino Norte for about eight days averaging around 30 to 35 km. I’ve gotten some blisters on the sides of my feet mostly the pinky toes and one on my big toe. I just came to the...
Buen Camino everyone. First timer here. Going to be starting my camino from porto at the end of this month and trying to find an e-sim that will work in both Portugal and Spain. I will there for...
The standard response to what to do when you get bed bugs, is to wash and dry everything at 60 degrees. But if you do that to your silk sleeping bag liner or your merino socks or t shirts or down...
(Not sure where to put this post.) I make shampoo and conditioner bars and get requests for scents I don't have. I'd like to get an idea from camino walkers of which of the scents I make would...
Like a huge number of pilgrims I have an Osprey rucksack (EXOS 38), which is one of the best packs I’ve had over 40 years hiking. However, is it me, or a design fault that re-zipping the belt...
