Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Although CC came to Costa Rica ( or rather, he mored just offshore), we call the day El Día de las Culturas.

Here in Costa Rica, where CC landed in 1492 on an offshore island, we call it El Día de las Culturas.

Unfortunately almost everything will be shut! See more here--

PS. In NYC it is an Italian-American holiday since CC was from Genoa. There is always a big marching parade followed by sales of winter clothing.
I had always assumed that CC was born in Genova, Italy, HOWEVER, when we were walking the Camino Espiritual ( alternative longer route on the Portuguese), we arrived in this delightful village called Combarro, where the village was all decked out for the feast celebrating CC, who, according to them, was born there!
I had never heard of that one!

 He arrived to nowadays Costa Rica in 1502; didn't he?

The birthplace of Colón isn't known for sure. Genova (Genoa in English) is the most widely accepted birthplace of Colón but there are many alternative theories. For a list of them, take a look at http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristóbal_Colón#Origen

One of my summer reads was Codex 632, a Portuguese novel on the CC conspiracy, looking at who he may have really been. If memory serves me right this novel even suggests he may have been Jewish from Portugal, which would have explained some strange routes he proposed to get to the Americas to ensure the Portuguese would arrive to the Americas earlier. Or something like that. A fun, light summer read.

Hello. I am considering walking the Camino for the first time this fall, probably beginning the third week of September in St. Jean. But I keep reading about how crowded the Camino is, including...
Is there a list of albergues that also have private rooms on the Camino Frances? Gracias.
Hi everyone -- After walking the Frances from SJpdP last October, I'm planning to revisit the bit between Logrono and Burgos this July, following different stages. It's the section where I had...
I started out from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on 1 May. It turned out to be an unforgetable day. Above 1,000 m or so it snowed, catching many people unprepared. Later that day "many" walkers were...
And another attempt looms, to buy a decent Poncho after trying and failing in the previous two likely towns. Anyone know where an Altos or similar might be bought in Leon, please? 😁
