I had always assumed that CC was born in Genova, Italy, HOWEVER, when we were walking the Camino Espiritual ( alternative longer route on the Portuguese), we arrived in this delightful village called Combarro, where the village was all decked out for the feast celebrating CC, who, according to them, was born there!Unfortunately almost everything will be shut! PS. In NYC it is an Italian-American holiday since CC was from Genoa. There is always a big marching parade followed by sales of winter clothing.
