Hola!

Does anyone have any particular suggestions for the Portuguese during Semana Santa? I was in Jaca and Pamplona last year during Holy Week and REALLY enjoyed the nightly processions, etc. Does Portugal celebrate to the same extent, or would I be better planning to get to Tui by then? Also, are there any problems with finding open accommodations in early April?

Many thanks!

So as I second@AMSimoes (Aurélio) you could walk from Porto to Barcelos and take the train or bus from there to Braga. A 20 kms detour from Barcelos. It is a beautiful town with the world famous sanctuary Bom Jesus do Monte.
Option is to walk from São Pedro de Rates ??? Directly to Braga and continue from there to Ponte de Lima to pick up the central route there again .
But I do not know the caminho de Braga. Maybe Aurélio ?

Olá Albertinho.
There is a way to Santiago [Porto-Braga-Ponte de Lima], it was the old road that existed before the construction of the bridge of Barcelos. It seems that Queen Isabel made her way to Braga.
