Need Help on Planning my Camino

My name is ofir,
I planning to run the last 100 Km of the camino on September 2018.
My wife is joining me but she is not a runner and she what to travel by transportation to the next station and wait for me with the luggage.

Q: what is the best Rout to do the camino by running (the most flatted way)?
Q: what is the best Rout to use transportation to next point (wife and luggage)?
Q: what is the best Rout to use privet rooms (not expensive) ?

The caminos i considering right now are:
- Camino Ingles from ferrol.
- Camino fraces from Sarria.
other suggestions are welcom.

Santiago is surrounded by hills and mountains, so nothing is really very flat for very long! Good luck finding something suitable. Bus transportation parallels the Camino from Sarria, so it is possible to get to most places to stay with you.

Hi,
I know thare is elevations surroundings Santiago de Compostela.
The questions is in witch way have the less elevations.
Example in Camino Ingles thare is a stiff elevation on day 4 from "Vilacoba" to "A Ribela" (Betanzos to Bruma) befor and after the elevations are more moderates.

What's about the last 100 km of the frach way or Portuguese way?

I could be wrong but I have a hunch that few people on this forum have been running the Camino, so maybe you are “shopping in the wrong place”.

Perhaps there are long distance-runners forums that could provide the information you are looking for?

As you still have plenty of time to your Camino, perhaps you could get your hands on a map with elevation data/curves, which may enable you to plan a route around the steeper parts of the Camino. Just an idea.

I have created an elevation graph for you showing four caminos. There are others that I could show but they would take much more work. First see if these are useful to you. In the graph Santiago is on the left and your starting point is on the right. The data for the Camino Ingles uses Ferrol as the start point. I had the graph stop at a distance of 120 kilometers from Santiago.

September tends to be very, very busy still on any last 100km on any Camino. Meaning there will be a lot (literally hundreds) of people with you on the same stage. I am not a runner myself, but wouldn't that be problematic for you if you had to stop/change your pace continuously because of this? Perhaps a quieter route would be better for your purposes? Most people walk 25-30km per day from Sarria and arrive in Santiago in 4 - 5 days with plenty of time to enjoy the city. If you have a strong urge to try a 100k run then the camino is probably not the best place to try it. As SY has said you will be impeded by walkers. Running on the right will not help. Groups of walkers will be spread across the entire trail width. On trafficked roads you will be exposing yourself to considerable risk as you will not have sight of traffic approaching from your rear and they will be trying to avoid walkers on the left.

Your requirements of alternative transport and inexpensive accommodation are easily met by the camino Frances, unfortunately you may find little pleasure in the running.

As I though the Camino Ingles is the optimal rout for me, not so crowded and moderate most of the way.
The last thing is to check trasportation and accommodations along the rout.
