Changes to Bus Tickets

Time of past OR future Camino
2006 to date: Over 21 Caminos. See signature line
I had two people cancel their trip after I purchased their tickets from Burgos to Leon.
I had two MORE people sign up.

In ten years, I've never had the bus driver ask for passport numbers/identification.
So I'm wondering if I really need to bother buying two more tickets, or if my 2 new people can just ride on the tickets already purchased?

I cannot cancel or change, apparently, and I cannot find an email address for ALSA to talk to a human being.

Thoughts?
Experience?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

My experience in riding from T4 to Pamplona and Santiago to T4 is the bus drivers only asking for names to verify passengers. They have not checked my ID/passport to verify my name..... that leaves you with some wiggle room. I am assuming if there was a security incident the bus driver would match names with IDs

Yes, that's been my experience also. In fact, they never even have asked when I have a group. But then, I am a little nervous about Murphy's Law. lol! Then there's the question about if TWO people on my group ticket do not show up, will they cancel my entire ticket? I wish they had an email address...

Think about it this way. You have 2 tickets, so if the bus is sold out you have the tickets for 2 seats that no one will occupy. So if worse comes to worse you pay for 2 more tickets. Just make sure you are the first in line to get on the bus and quickly find your assigned seats. Which always seems to be a big problem in Spain:rolleyes::rolleyes:
