now i booked one night hotel in Porto on my arrivel day, i wanted to sleep good and take a good shower. But after booking it online many thoughts came through my head, expecially after reading that it says only grownups on the hotels homepage. Hotel i found is also mentioned in John Brierley book, hotel da Bolsa.
My question...why only grownups?...is it really a hotel or is it a something else??? anyone have any experience at this hotel?.........please!!

A selection of Camino Jewellery
In Porto I always stay in Oporto Poets Hostel which I book via booking.com http://www.oportopoetshostel.com/

You have a selection of size of dormitory rooms, inexpensive for a city, in the centre of the old city, 24 hour reception desk, speak English, have use of kitchen and have activities on certain days/evenings. Went to fado singing by locals, had dinner with guests where I met the guy I started my camino with, joined in with festival activities, etc. Opinion based on stays there beginning and end of June 2013.

I've stayed in the Hotel da Bolsa on three different occasions, and I can assure you that it is a legitimate hotel operation. Right next door to the ornate old Porto Stock Exchange, and well located for walking along the river and seeing the sights. The hotel itself is kind of "faded" and could use some updating, but it is comfortable and the staff has always been very helpful.

Another option if you need it, Hotel Internacional, which is perfectly located near the river, old city sights, subways, etc. Very nice staff and very reasonable prices.
