Hi Ivar

I’m starting the Camino Francis on April 23 from St. Jean –Roncesvalles-Santiago-.Finisterre. I hope to finish around the 1st week in June. After the walk I would like to visit Toledo and possibly Segovia as they are close to Madrid Where I will be taking a train to. I am wondering what sites I should take in and if there are “cheap “ places to stay.

I wouldn’t feel right staying in the private hostels geared to pilgrims as I at this time would be more of a tourist than a pilgrim. Any suggestions out there as what to see and where to stay.

Thanks Soumie

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Try Hostal Sol C/Azacanes 8 in Toledo; Duermevela Hostal Calle de los Gascos 7, Segovia; both highly recommended on the Hostalworld website.

Scruffy 1.

Thanks for the info. It's much appreciated. I will check it out

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
Hi, Soumie,
If you're on a budget, I'd recommend the Albergue Los Pascuales in Toledo. I walked the Camino Levante last year and it goes through Toledo. We stayed at the Albergue Los Pascuales. It's not only for pilgrims, so you would certainly be welcome. It is in a great location, really very central in the historic center, very clean, nice facilities, pretty bad breakfast, and overall a great deal for 12 or 13 euros! https://www.alberguelospascuales.co...k=edit&cid[0]=1&id=1&liste=67&Itemid=&lang=en

Buen camino, Laurie

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
David

Thanks for your input to my post. If time permits and if my feet are still working I may try to get to Muxia as I will be only about a days journey or so away before I head to Madrid.

Thanks
