Where is the Alsa bus station located in Santiago?

Thank-you

Justine

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi, Justine,

There's only one bus station, and all companies leave from there. The address to plug into google maps is:

Plaza de Camilo Diaz Baliño, 0, 15704 Santiago de Compostela (Estación de Autobuses de Santiago)

I usually stay somewhere near the start of the Rua de San Roque, and it's an easy 15-20 minute walk from there.

Buen camino, Laurie

It took me about half an hour (maybe a bit longer) to walk to the bus station from the cathedral. A woman at the tourist information centre gave me a map that showed where it was--it was pretty straightforward. Actually, she told me I should take a city bus--I was standing there with my pack and everything and she said it was too far to walk. :)

Buen Camino!

There are several ways to get to the bus station. I agree, it's about 15 minutes from the Cathedral for us... not sure how you went. That's funny that she said it was too far to walk! lol

It may or may not be relevant to your question Justine but the bus to the airport also leaves from a main square (Galicia?) quite close to tourist office. This bus then stops at bus station on route to airport.

Hola - The airport bus leaves from Rua Doctor Teixeiro which is just off of the Plaza Galica. The bus stop is at a shop called Asterix. 10 minutes later it arrives at the Bus station to leave again for the airport. The whole journey to the airprort from the Plaza Galcia to the airport is less than 30 mins.

If I remember correctly the bus for the Bus Station leaves from Bus Stop 5 in the Plaza Galicia - it is on the conrer of the Plaza Galicia with the large Ironmongers shop.
