- Time of past OR future Camino
- First one in 2005 from Moissac, France.
As the Camino has become more and more populated, what I have noticed over the last few years is that even the smallest village that has a refugio seems to also have a bar now, and usually one that does food too, maybe even a small shop.
I had to miss the Camino last year due to other commitments but am going later this year - Hurrah! renewing my 1st aid kit now ...
(For those who don't know, I go and offer 1st aid and support to pilgrims where I can) Anyway, as I tend to go to those sections that are long and townless and where pilgrims are quite isolated if they need help - in the evenings I also tend to look for the most isolated, or unsupported refugios .... it used to be that there were places without a shop or cafe or bar and pilgrims could be quite hungry if they hadn't brought supplies with them, and a little stuck should they need plasters and so on but now it seems so different ...
So my post, so my request - can you think of any places I might have missed - refugios still without a surrounding infrastructure support? :|
