Hi all!
I walked the Le Puy to Roncesvalles route last spring, and now I am thinking of Arles to Compostela on the Norte in the fall. I have many questions. I have downloaded the WP Norte App. I used the WP Via Podiensis app and found it most helpful. But, is there any similar resource for the Arles? Also mildly curious how one travels between Puenta la Reina to Irun. I know I will figure it out once I am there, but just wondering how many people have/will walk that route and whether I can expect the group to carry me through? (When I did the Le Puy, I orginally intended to stop at SJPdP, but . . . the group carried me through, something for which I will be forever grateful.)

Thanks in advance for any resources and/or info on Arles, and Norte.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The Buen Camino app has the Arles route.

And the Gronze map app + website has the info you need. Be aware though that the Gronze maps don't work offline - you need an Internet connection.

I wouldn't expect to find many (or any) other pilgrims walking from Puente la Reina to Irun.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Lots of options to get from the Arles to the Norte on foot.

You can branch off the Arles at Oloron-St-Marie and walk the Piemont to SJPdP and then the Nive to Bayonne. From Bayonne, follow the coast to Irun.

Or walk the Arles to the Aragon and when you reach Puente la Reina, walk the CF in reverse to Pamplona, then the Batzan in reverse to Bayonne and follow the coast to Irun.

Or cut over to Pamplona while walking the Aragon (it’s off-route, but easy). Then again the Batzan to Bayonne to Irun.

Or Arles to Aragon to CF and then up the Camino Ignacio to Loiola and hookup with the Norte before Bilbao

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

My group of six arrives in Irun on May 20 and we're starting our Camino on May 21. Since it's the beginning of the busy season, I'm wondering if we should order trekking poles from Amazon Espana...
Elevation map shows this is really steep! What’s the best way from downtown Hondarribia up there? Then wish me luck on the Purgatorio—I am a nervous wreck.
On the Norte...started Morgo headed to Santilanna del mer...today...wonderful walk.... 1st 7k and last 7k ...the middle industrail zone was meh. Just past polonca met loverly local spanish...
If anyone is in an albergues in or near Santillana del mar on the 1st of May and comes across Nadia from Ottawa would they kindly point her in the direction of this thread. Thanks all.....
