Basque language - Euskara

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
thanks - very interesting. Walking the interior/tunnel route across the Basque country in 2015 was a real eye-opener for me - as well as a great camino! When I returned I read Kurlansky's 'Basque History of the World', which I strongly recommend.

Here's a link to a BBC news article on the Basque language, Euskara, that some of you might find interesting.

The Basque language had desapeared long before Franco's regime in the cities and in wide areas of the Basque country and Navarra for economical reasons
To give an example it would have been very difficult to take any advantage of the Spanish Empire speaking only Euskera.
Same happened in UK with Gaelic in Scotland and Ireland and in this case the British Empire.
In this context it is also amazing the survival of Welch language in North Wales.

I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
