Hi all,

A friend of mine a few years ago could get updates on twitter from other pilgrims as to in which albergue they had recently found bedbugs. Is there still any such hashtag? is it active?

Thanks!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Bedbugs love smartphones. Nice, warm, dark places to hide out, under the cover. Easy to get into too, as most pilgrims sleep with them under a pillow. They probably Twitter to each other "mmmm nice tasty human morsel approaching".

I've heard of a pilgrim being mortified, having nuclear bombed her pack and every bit of clothing, to have a bedbug drop out of her phone as she registered at a hotel.

If a place is badly infested the bugs are easy to find - especially if you give the bed a tiny spray of mosquito repellant a la @Anniesantiago .

Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
