Heading out for my first camino this fall
Hello fellow Pilgrims!! On the way to Pamplona from Zubiri/Larrasoaña there is a cafe along the river with this statue in front of it and I was wondering if anyone actually got a picture of the cafe or if anyone knows the name of this cafe? Thank you! Buen Camino!

That looks familiar but I can't place it. I did a Google search for similar images and found one hit:

http://theperpetualpilgrim.com/2014/05/06/day-5/

After seeing the statue, the person next comments "After climbing a steep hill we visited a beautiful small church dedicated to St Stephen. " I can't think of any 'Iglesia San Esteban' around there except the church in Zubiri. The next mention is that 2 hours later they reached the bridge into Trinidad de Arre. That is consistent with your original post.

Not sure if the reference to the church helps you narrow it down any. Let us know if you find it.

Hola,

I remember the café you're talking about and have a picture of it. The one I stopped at in a hamlet with a fountatin about 1-2k befor that and called El Horno. They had an outdoor barbecue and the food was to die for!

Remember that place fondly! We got kicked out at 07:30 am in larrasoana, it was still pitch dark and nothing was open yet and this was the first cafe we came across. A true life saver that day and the tortilla was to die for! SY

Is this the cafe at the end of a very short sharp steep path?

I remember walking beside the river and there was a concrete path - covered in wet leaves - really very steep. I think this is the place where I seriously considered going down on my bottom ... Once at the bottom and over the river was this lovely spot? :D
