We are two recent retirees, planning on walking the Camino Frances in the Fall of 2015. We have booked for two months, leaving time to rest at the end of our walk. One of our thoughts is to begin our Camino by walking the last bit (c100 km.), of the Le Puy route, both to experience the foothills and the coming together of other routes to Santago as well as to prepare for the crossing of the Pyrenees. We are wondering if anyone has any thoughts about what a good starting point might be? Are we being over ambitious? Thanks!
