I will start my next (8th) camino from Lisbon May 12, 2 015.
I have 24 days.
And will probably walk to Finisterre (after 24 days on CP).
68 days to go.

Anyone else en route?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Annie, I will be in Lisbon for a week in May and will leave on May 9. We will just miss each other. DRATS!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful walk. You should see if Diogo and/or Aurelio will be around to take you to get a good pastel de nata. Will you spend time in Lisbon before you walk? Bom caminho, Laurie

Well, Laurie. Would be so great to meet you again :)

I have been thinking about starting my camino from Lisbon May 8 or 9 also.

Do you have your tickets so you know you will be starting from Lisbon May 9?
Are you going to walk the CF this year?

No, I will not spend any time in Lisbon because I have been there before and do not have to be sight- seeing Lisbon.

Will start my camino from the Church of Saint James in Lisbon :)

@Alan Pearce and I will meet up in SDC June 6-7-8 (we booked San Pinario).

Mila Caceres will be there also :)

Hi, Annie,
No I am not walking now, not till June (I'm walking the St. Jaume from Port de la Selva, connecting to the Camí Catalá in Montserrat, to the Aragonés through San Juan de la Peña. Then in Puente la Reina, I´ll hop up to Ponferrada and walk the Invierno into Santiago -- sorry, I´ll bet you didn´t think I´d have that long of an answer to your easy question).

I am just going to be in Lisbon for that week. I will be working Mon-Thurs but I will have late afternoons free and all day Friday free. Then home on Saturday the 9th.

Where is the Church of St. James in Lisbon? I always thought everyone started from the Cathedral.

Hi Laurie
I wait for you in May to eat a custard tart (pastel de nata).
The church of Santiago (James) is situated 500 meters from the Cathedral, near the viewing point and church of Santa Luzia, in the way to the Castle. Follow the line of electric cars. Has a reliquary with a relic of Santiago. There is a sign indicating the start of the path.
I have to take you for a walk to show you the details, that only a few people in Lisbon know.
Send an email to combine.

Laurie - say hello to @krazeekuban and Bianca diValerio, Walter Sherer and Wanda if you are attending the Meeting :)

Yes, I know we pilgrims usually start walking from the Sé Cathedral.
I want to take a look at the Church of Saint James and walk from there to the Cathedral and my camino.

Buen camino.
