Greetings pilgrims,

does anyone know of any Camino related literature, fiction pereferably, beside "The Ramsay Scallop", IN ANY LANGUAGE, for young people?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I understand that The Ramsay Scallop is a book, but am interested to know if it refers to anything real connected with a Ramsay - my surname is Ramsay.

Magnara,

in the book, it's 14 year Eleanor's last name.

I don't know if this is a "young person's" book (although I probably would have read this book as a teen), but "Strong as Death" by Sharan Newman involves her characters taking a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. It's the 4th book in the Catherin LeVendeur mystery series. I really like how she incorporates a lot of research into medieval Europe into a wonderful story.

Hi WolverineDG,

funny you should mention "Strong as Death" by Sharan Newman.

It happens to be one of my favorite Camino-related novels, incredible as it may sound, exactly for the reason you mentioned: how well "she (Newman) incorporates a lot of research into medieval Europe into a wonderful story."

It was through this novel that I got my first visualization as to how pilgrims may have traveled to Compostela during the Middle Ages.
