Can I walk for a week?

Hi there,
I would like to do some of the walk but only have limited time.
I am a New Zealander who is taking some time out from the family and I would like to book a return flight from London to join the pilgrimage. What should I do? This will be around mid- August.
Thanks, Liz R

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Hi Liz,

You could start in Sarria and do the last 100km of the Camino Frances?

Here are some useful links for Sarria - Santiago:

How to get from Santiago to Sarria:

Sarria tourist office:

... this would be one suggestion.

All you veteran pilgrims out there: Would one week (7days) be pushing it? (Getting to Santiago (from London) traveling to Sarria and then walking to Santiago and back to London)

Un saludo,
Ivar

One week to walk

You can walk any part of the 20 different routes for a week.
It only becomes important to walk the last 100kms if you want to earn the compostela.
If you walk from Sarria you could follow this daily schedule:
Sarria to Portomarin 22kms
to Casanova 28kms
to Arzua 24kms
to Arca 23 kms
to Santiago 16kms

You will be in good company if you choose to start in Sarria. In March, 1093 pilgrims were received at the Pilgrim’s Office and of these, the largest number, 296, started in Sarria.
