Whilst I appreciate you may want this info to provide a little reassurance or to finalise your packing list, the reality is that the weather in Galacia especially along the coast changes so quickly that it's not funny. And numbers on the Camino change greatly depending on whether or not there is a local holiday. It's very popular with the Spanish because it's very easy to do in just four to five days. Although in May the numbers are gradually starting to climb according to the statistics, you certainly won't walk alone but as far as I'm aware there's no major holidays next week so it shouldn't be overly busy either. Unless of course you hit a tour group or three....

A quick check of the weather forecast will give you just as good a picture. For example at the moment Ferrol is really nice, whereas next week rain is forecast. The highs and lows aren't particularly extreme, it's relatively cool pretty much all of next week by the looks of things - between 12 and 18 degrees.

Last year when I walked the Inglés at the beginning of April (during Semana Santa) I walked in sunshine, and the temperatures ranged from minus four to 28 in one day.

People that walked one week after me had rain for half the week. And much cooler temperatures.

All you can do is plan for rain but hope that the weather forecast isn't accurate! It's a great camino, enjoy!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Buen Camino @nickyvee !

Just a note that May 17 is the Letras Galegas holiday, the festivo that celebrates Galician authors and poets. Since your Camino will take place all in Galicia, grocery stores are likely to be closed, but cafes and restaurants should be open for the most part.
Useful information. Thank you

Thanks for the advices. Too late to buy a gortex shoes and break them in. Thinking about walking in trail sandals during heavy downpour, vice my non-waterproof shoes. These Hokas sure do act like sponge whenever I walked and get caught by a drizzle. Just not sure about blisters forming...sandals vs waterlogged shoes.

I walked Ingles in October and it rained every day, but only the first day was a hard rain, the rest was on and off all day. I wore Altra Lone Peak waterproof and they were fine which honestly surprised me.
Bring a poncho!
Buen Camino!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
