Credencial with my name beautifully inscribed inside arrived by post today. I was on my porch in tears. I guess this is running deeper than I had expected.

Buen Camino my friends.

A very special moment! If you belong to a church, get the first stamp there. Perhaps they will do a special blessing for you as well.
I love my stamped credenciales, every stamp is a reminder of the place I visited, or passed through.
Have a wonderful walk.

Another wonderful thing to do, when you ask for your credencial to be stamped, is to have your journal stamped as well - if you are writing one, obviously, and I highly recommend it. ('Can't take the credit for this idea - it was from Ailsa Piper's Camino memoir, 'Sinning Across Spain', so thanks to Ailsa for this.)

I was wondering if they would stamp multiple items for you? I had considered my journal, but also thought about keeping a larger piece of paper in a tube in my pack... something I could get stamped on one side and frame it later, since the credencial looks like it will have to be stamped on both sides. I could also get necessary stamps on the credencial, and lots of "extras" on the paper. What would they say about this?
