Does anyone know if/where it is possible to get a credential in Ourense? I have looked at the websites for the tourist office and the cathedral but neither seem to recognise that there is a Camino de Santiago going through Ourense, starnge as it is well signed :?

Thanks John,
I'll go to the Cathedral tomorrow, if I can't get one I'll be in touch. :D

The hospitalero at the Ourense albergue is very helpful and should be able to send you to the right place. He might even have them at the albergue

Thanks Donovan, I had thought of that but didn't fancy that awful hike up to the Albergue :( The last time I hiked up there the hospitalero was not there and I am far too lazy to walk for nothing, especially when it is hot.

As Johnniewalker said the credentials can be acquired at the cathedral, I got one this morning, they are wll hidden, locked up in the Sacristy, and as the Sacritans don't wear cassocks it is not easy to find one. I went to an open door and walked in, I think it was a private area but they took pity on me, as a foreigner, and a gentleman took me off to look for a sacristan, he was standing outside having a cigarette, not the first place you look :) However I am now prepared and can stop that little panic, I'm sure I will find something else to worry about.
