Awhile back I remember reading some uplifting and encouraging quotes for walking the Camino. Today I saw this one on a FB site and it reminded me I should have written the other ones down to carry along with me (we leave April 24 and start April April 27).
The one I saw today was referencing walking the Meseta: "In Castilla, the landscape is in the sky." ..Antonio Machado
I plan on bringing them along and each day use my "quote of the day" to think on and help me along. I've done this before on long multiple day bicycle rides and it helps. Why I didn't get this started sooner is my fault...life has been crazy but on the 24th it's about to get simpler
Some I have used before:
-Sometimes the pain of giving up can be worse than the pain of going on (maybe for over the Pyrenees)
-Sky above me, earth below me, fire within me
-Focus on how far you've come, not how far you have to go
-Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go...T.S.Elliot
-ALways do what you are afraid to do...Ralph Waldo Emerson
Buen Camino!
