Friends of bill w on French camino

Hi there, I'll be walking the French camino in sept/oct. I'm looking for friends of bill w. along the way. Please let me know if you've had success with meetings etc along the way.

From this website http://www.aaspain.org/meetings/directory.php, there would not seem to be regular English-language meetings along the way. The page links you to the AA Spanish site which will get you the times & places of meetings in Leon, Burgos, Estella and Pamplona. While the meetings will be in Spanish, friends of mine who travel tell me that sometimes the language involved is not that important. And, of course, you may end up with an informal group along the way. Stranger things have happened on the Camino.

Congrats to all of you on your clean and sober success!
I will celebrate 18 year during my camino in Sept. This is a topic my husband and I have discussed as I have read much about the great wine on the Way and fear that it could be tempting as a physical pain reliever after a day of walking and perhaps many sore body parts. It's so nice to hear that others will be out there and I feel certain that God will place us where we need to be if one of us should need another.

Thanks everyone -- I've been looking at Spanish speaking meetings in the larger cities and have found several on different days of the week. I will carry the list with me and look up the meetings when I arrive into each town. I will be celebrating 39 years this July - I got sober at 18 a few months before I turned 19!! I have been going to meetings practically all my life and can't imagine going too long without contacting friends of Bill and Bob. I know I will meet fellow AA's along the Camino, because this is how we're blessed within the program.
