Getting back to Pyrenees from Santiago .. ??

What are the best solutions for getting 2 persons with 2 bikes back to the starting point ? Is there a good and frequently operating infrastructure?

If anyone is interested, my girlfriend and I are cycling the 800km for charity and we have a very small, simple website

http://www.bike4wish.com

All sponsors, private of corporate are very welcome (however small the sum as 100% goes to charity !).

Thanks ..

David

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi David,

I see 4 options for getting back to your starting point:

1) Vueling.com (low cost airline) to Barcelona and then bus to where you want to go. Website: http://www.vueling.com (Not sure of their bike policy, you should check it).

Alternatively, check http://www.spanair.com or http://www.aireuropa.com for flights via Madrid. They have had some really good prices lately....

2) Train. Train takes a long time, you can not be in a hurry. More here: http://www.renfe.es
3) Bus. Check http://www.alsa.es , here bikes should not be a problem. it should be a bit faster than the train, but still a few hours.
4) Rent a car. http://www.easycar.es, and hertz and Avis are all in Santiago... may not be what you thought of, but still an option.

These are just some ideas...

Good luck and buen camino!

Ivar

Me again... regarding Vueling and bikes, here is what their website says:

Are bicycles or golf clubs allowed?

Yes. Bicycles and golf clubs are free as long as they do not exceed the total weight allowed for baggage, which is 20 kilos.
