Thanks, Sil. I may have an opportunity to walk from Granada to Merida shortly. The following may interest some of you: of the 1200 or so peregrinos that have sheltered overnight in Fuenterroble de Salvatierre since 1 January, 2010 only 29 began their Camino in Granada -most of these started in the month of May. Some mentioned that river banks had been eroded due to flooding earlier in the year, affecting signs. Yesterday a peregrino from Granada described his way as difficult due to the heat, the distances between pueblos and the need for lots of water. Cheers, Lovingkindness.
