Hello from Dorset

Member
Hi I'm Corwen, in 2005 my partner and I walked from home in East Dorset to Weymouth and got the ferry to St Malo, and walked from there to Finisterre. The next year we walked Olav's Way across Norway, and a couple of weeks ago I walked solo from Salisbury to Canterbury.

We are planning to walk the VF from home next year and hopefully cycle back. We are both very into the 'ultralite' philosophy and also free camping, we free camped most of the way to Spain, across Norway and recently, barring two nights with friends, to Canterbury.

In 'real life' we are both musicians and I also make historical musical instruments.

Greetings from a heavyweight pilgrim.

If you have a sliver, I have antiseptic wipes to clean it, then tweezers to pull it out.
If you have a tear in your poncho, I have duct tape to fix it...

On my first Camino, I took half a dozen sample size bottles of aromatic shower gel. When the bliss of the daily shower (when the water is warm) came up in conversation, I would give the lady a sample of shower gel.

Wanting something "totally Canadian" to share, I took smoked salmon to go with the bread and cheese for lunch.

I arrived at O'Cebriero on a very wet day so I tied 5 metres of twine up in the dormitory to use as a clothes line. It was really appreciated.

People are always suprised by what I can find in my rucksack.
I like it that way.
