Hi I am from Maine and planning to walk el camino in November from Santiago to Cape Finisterre

would love to hear from anyone who has done this short stretch. My base will be in Barcelona staying with friends. My sister will be joining me. As we are from Maine we are hearty souls but would welcome any advice. Thank you.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Go for it if November is anything like the October we're having then you may need sunscreen! It's a wonderful route check which albergues are open in November as some run from April to October. Even if some are shut there are cheap places to stay. I walked it over 3 days and spent 3 days 'recouperating' on the beach at Fisterra/Finisterre:)....fantastic seafood and great swims.

Sounds great!! We have booked a self guided tour so our accommodations are already set through the tour company. 4 days and 4 nights. Might be too cold for swimming but will definitely check out the seafood. Hopefully it's as good as Maine's!! Thanks for your note.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Take rain gear! November in Galicia without rain would be real miracle ;-) Buen Camino, SY

Four days will be brilliant you'll be able to soak up (literally as well as metaphorically if you get rain;)) the scenery and be able to go to bed a little later in the evenings.... and stay in bed a little later in the morning....perfect:).

There are some nice places to eat and stay. Albergue-Bar Casa Pepa at Santa Marina/Maronas provided one of the best pilgrim meals I've had anywhere when I walked last October. We needed it after turning up like drowned rats a couple of hours earlier. The whole bar floor was awash from wet pilgrims.
