Hello, I am currently walking the Camino Portuguese. When I reach Santorem I stayed at the brand new (one month old) Santarem Hostel.
It is superb. Right in the middle of the old town, one mimnute from the Tourism Office. Take first left into Rua Eng Antonia Antunes Jnr. The street is only 5 m from the tourist office. Go to the end of the short street. It is No. 26
15 euro for a dormitory. 35 to 40 euor for aprivate room. Breakfast is included.
Dorms are very spacious. Mario Gracuias and his wife own/run it. Lovely people.
Excellent rooftop terrace, great lounge room.
As it is a very long walk from Azambuja, this is a welcome stop along the camino.
