Hostels in Paris?

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances SJPDP--->SDC (Dates TBD)
Hello, fellow peregrinos!

I've been doing some thinking about my trip to the Camino, and have decided to have a mini-holiday in Paris before heading out to St Jean Pied de Port. At any rate, most of the flights that I'm considering don't arrive at Charles du Galle Airport until after the ONE train to St Jean via Bayonne has left from Montparnasse :( . So, I'll be spending at least one or two nights in Paris. I was hoping some of the peregrinos that have gone before would have some kind of insight. I'm considering a couple of nights in hostels near either Montparnasse or Notre Dame. Please let me know,

Hi WanderingChristian!

I've used the Hostelworld.com website in the past for non-Camino related travel and it's quite good. Others may have more specific recommendations.

A couple of days in Paris sounds great, but are you sure you can't get another train down to Bayonne? You may have to change trains in Bordeaux, but there should be more than one train (depending on what time you land in CDG of course).

Buen Camino!

Resurrecting this old thread - just wondering has anyone stayed at Enjoy Hostel? (Enjoy Hostel, 5 Rue des Plantes, 75014 Paris, France)
gets reasonably decent reviews from Booking.com, on their website and Hostelworld.com
not too far from Gare Montparnasse so should be an easy trek to the SJPdP train

I consider the very best place to stay is the "Adveniat". A peaceful delight amongst the myriad of offerings in Paris.
Special Rates for Pilgrims.
Like all accommodation venues in Paris it was subject to quite severe restrictions due to COVID.
From memory it's within easy walking distance to a metro station from where I left for Montparnasse train station.
