Nope and therefor I have decided not to write anymore in the thread. I think it is done now. We have made our point hopefully. I have gone back to answer queetions and done it with my own experience hopefully without saing "this is how you should do it".

Now I'm going to pack my backback leaving for CF in 2 days.

But people continue to say things like maybe there should be a separate section for fast walkers.
I regret having made that suggestion, if it is viewed as a bad thing to consider, and a contribution to the negative feelings. It was a genuine suggestion, thinking that maybe the people who have felt alienated by frequent suggestions to go slow could have a place to celebrate their pleasure in a different walking style. Even as I made the suggestion, I was well aware of the pros and cons, but it is not fair to use it as further "evidence" of a negative attitude toward fast walkers. I don't accept that label.

I think this dead horse has been beaten to a pulp! As on the camino, I think we should be open to all people and cultures and give everyone the benefit that they are generally coming from a good place. Repeatedly "daring" or "challenging" someone that had no real negative intention other than to provide what they felt was helpful advice is a bit aggressive. I don't feel C clearly should be regretting anything. This forum works because it is a place to get valuable information based on experience, opinion or hard data. Take what you want and don't be overly sensitive. I have not only found the information helpful but thoroughly enjoy communicating with people with a shared interest....more importantly, I like the ability to experience that special shared respect and open communication I found on my camino.
