How to get Credentials from S JEAN please ? Can I do it online. Or do I have to get it in the town Centre ?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
If you want to have a credencial before setting off you can order one online from Ivar who hosts this forum. Speaking from experience I can say that he posts them out very quickly and efficiently : https://www.santiagodecompostela.me...passport-from-the-pilgrims-office-in-santiago

There is no big problem in getting a credencial from the pilgrim office in St Jean. They are open from very early in the morning to late evening and are very helpful in other ways too: handing out updated accommodation lists and elevation maps and advising on any problems along the route to Roncesvalles. I strongly recommend you visit them before setting off. St Jean is a small place and most of the albergues are very close to the pilgrim office. It is not a chore to find it.

I get mine delivered from the shop on this forum. It arrived in less than a week. As the previous reply said you get one from the pilgrim office in St Jean easily enough, unless you arrive very late and leave very early.
However you get it, do try to visit the pilgrim office anyway.

I simply picked mine up in SJPPD when I walked in 2015. The office was right across the street from my alburgue. They were open late.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
There is really no reason to get one online, imo.
They have them at the Pilgrim Office.
SJPP village consists of one tiny main street and it takes about 5 minutes from pretty much any albergue there.
Also, this time of year, it's good to check in so they know who is on the trail, in case you don't show up in Roncesvalles.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
