As WalkingLester mentioned Rome2Rio is a great site to work out how to get from place A to place B.

Here is the link with your options from Barcelona to Burgos :) https://www.rome2rio.com/map/Barcelona/Burgos

I've taken that train and it is very scenic, passing through the turf of the Camino Olvidado. Get well sandwiched in Barcelona as it is a longish ride (5 or 6 hours, IIRC).

I took the train from Burgos to Barcelona in January. It runs past the Via Bayona camino and the camino Ebro- the section around Pancorbo is nice. But it is a longish journey time of nearly 6 hours - so come prepared with food and snacks etc ( there was a possibility of buying drinks and snacks on the train). It was fairly busy the day I travelled so definitely worth prebooking tickets and generally cheaper -plus some days there are two trains that depart at similar times with stops in Burgos and it is worth checking the different prices ( one goes to Ourense the other A Coruna).
There is a bus from Burgos train station into the centre that is fairly regular. Otherwise if you walk a few blocks south from station there is a riverside path all the way into the centre along the Rio Vena which is relatively pleasant if you feel the need to stretch your legs

When it was difficult to book a seat in a train from Barcelona to Burgos, you can always use Logroño as an intermediate point. I have taken the train the Logroño, stopped there for lunch at Calle Laurel, and then taken one of the numerous buses to Burgos.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

When i search, Rome2Rio,it onlygives me the bus as an option....

Can you please share what station did you board in Barcelona?

Thx

Your keyboard has been possessed by demons. I have Rome2rio open right now, and it has a train (on June 14, a date I chose at random) leaving Barcelona Sants at 8.00 and arriving in Burgos at 16.44; there are trains at 9.30, arriving 15.32; 12.50 and 21.42; 15.25 and 21.27.

If you are 60+, buy a tarjeta dorada card at the station when you buy your ticket, and get a discount for 25%-40%.

Estació del Nord (Barcelona Nord) It is close to Arc de Triomf.
This is the main bus station in the city.

Buses can also leave from Sants Estació, the main train station.
