Hi all I thought I was well organised but a quick check has revealed I am a day out. Could someone tell me how I can get to Bayonne I arrive at 3.30pm in the afternoon of 27th Aug and need to get to SJ that afternoon.
I am not sure what to do I am a little confused when I look at the local train websites.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kylie from Perth

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
To begin do you arrive at Bayonne at 3:30 pm ie 15:30 ? Will you be arriving by train?

If so there is a train/bus combo leaving Bayonne rr station at 18:06 for SJPdP. Buy your ticket at the station. There are no reservations for this transport.

Welcome Kylie, if you are arriving at Biarritz Airport you can catch a bus outside the door of arrivals, just on the left, to Bayonne station. Some buses go direct to the station others go to town and you have to walk a bit, the driver will tell you and just follow other pilgrims. Sometimes you may be approached at the airport by other pilgrims to share a taxi to St Jean, if there are four for the taxi it makes it affordable otherwise as mspath said just get the train/bus at 18.06. The pilgrim Office will still be open when you arrive so you can register and get your first stamp then if you wish.
Have a great Camino.
Buen camino.

Chronoplus bus 14 connects Biarritz/Anglet/Bayonne Airport to Gare de Bayonne.

It is also possible to take Chronoplus bus C from the airport to Gare de Biarritz, then take an SNCF train from Gare de Biarritz to Gare de Bayonne where you transfer to SNCF services (train and bus) to SJPdP. This is a little faster than taking the #14 bus, however it is more complicated and costs more.

Contact Express Bourricot ,(onweb site) to see if Caroline has a vacancy. Certainly quickest and may be as cheap if she has a full vehicle(8 people).

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
