Buen Camino.

I wil go Camino alone... start 6,. july in Leon.... my first time... (from Norway)

Walking alone is good. The best way to walk a Camino I think.

But......

You won't be alone for long.
In fact you will never 'need' to be alone.
Though........when you 'want' to be alone...you can be. :)

As others have said you will not be alone. I finished my first Camino in May of this year. I traveled to the Camino by myself and was not part of any "group" outside of all the people who devote their lives to helping pilgrims and my fellow pilgrims.

I got the courage to do the Camino solo, from taking a 205 mile, 2-day bike event when my son decided he wouldn't go. There were lots of others and I survived. That encouraged me to have faith that I could do 450 miles without friends or family by my side.

There were times when I didn't see any other pilgrims for an hour or two at a time, but they were rare. I never felt that I was truly alone in the sense of helpless as the Camino even when it is remote is usually not far from a road with traffic on it.

Remember that about a quarter of a million people do the Camino each year and have been for hundreds of years. You will be traveling in the footsteps of millions of others that have build the infrastructure that will support you and your Camino.

Good luck and enjoy.

Buen Camino! I traveled 'alone', never really developed a camino 'family' as in day-to-day being and walking together, but did make friends that I keep in touch with still, here and there....it was perfect. I hope you have an experience that is just right for you, Christoffer.
