@Viranando Bhikkhu - Just FYI - if you use the @ symbol instead of the # symbol and start typing a member's name a list of names starting with those letters will pop up. Click on the one that you want, and after you post your reply it will turn into a hyperlink to the member's profile. And when you do it this way the member can be alerted that they have been mentioned in a post.

I'm not so sure this works, @trecile . Did you get an alert about this one? If the "Quote" feature is used, there is definitely an alert.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Oh, I think that you're correct. I'm not sure why I thought that they did. It seems that somehow my attention has been drawn to threads that I've been tagged in, but apparently not!
@ tags do not create alerts for me. They should though!
Yes, they should!

I find all types of alerts on my phone are very hit and miss and inconsistent. I never understand why.

The alerts depend on what you have put in your "preferences" section of your profile.

Thank you. I thought that was the case. But I did write "can be notified" instead of "will be notified" because I thought that it was probably in "preferences."

Here it is in "preferences"

But as far as I know, that alert (when someone mentions you in another post) does not function on this forum.
