Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Wow the Americans outnumbered the Germans!

Thanks, falcon, these statistics are so interesting. Just wanted to point out that if you click on the link on the right side of that page that says "la peregrinacion a Santiago", you can see the daily total of arrivals. Today there were 1149, I just can't imagine that, so I think I need to walk in July or August some year! Buen camino, Laurie

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

WOW!!! 36 552 Compostelas in one month!
In 2002 when I walked the Camino 68 952 Compostelas were given in the whole year!

This shows the exponential growth of the Camino in 10 years.

I was there, the line went almost to the tourist office.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
It looks like 30,826 compostelas issued this September compared to 27,322 last year in September, and 36,870 in the Holy Year 2010. Those who thought it was a more crowded month than in previous Septembers were right! There were 61,543 in August 2010, so you missed the biggest crowds (that would have been some bed race)!

My wife and I were there in Aug 2010 with all them people yet we were all alone on the Camino Portugues de la Costa. At one albergue we were numbers 19 and 20 at the end of Aug. in a Año Santo. We had all the albergue to ourselves.

Buen Camino!

This page can't be open ! ! It's in Chinese and a code number is needed to enter.

There were 1,986 on July 27, and 2,014 on July 24, the eve of St. James Day. The line at the Pilgrim Office must have been very long!
Yep, we were there and had to queue. We just thought it was part of the experience, having to stand around for ages.

The number of pilgrims in October is averaging 839 per day. If that holds up, and it won't, October 2013 will have almost as many pilgrims getting compostelas as in the last Holy Year! Those who are seeing crowds are not delusional; September departures now seem to be part of the busy season instead of part of a slack fall season. Consider that for planning next year.:)
