you right.........we walk the camino and hope to go home after....they have little hope and no home.......this has been happening for years and years.....I am thankful

I am currently in Santiago! I just finished my long trek from SJPDP yesterday.

I can not even begin to tell you what I have learned because it was so much. This was a difficult journey for many reasons, but I thanked God daily for every opportunity I have been given in life.

This Camino brought a common thread of conversation among pilgrims. In life, why can we not just be nice to each other? It happens everyday on the Camino! Perhaps world leaders should walk it as a group!

There are so many refugees willing to give up their lives for a simple chance of having a life! Mine is way too privileged in comparison to theirs. Can we not in 2015 as a global community come up with better solutions to these issues?

EVERY PERSON DESERVES A LIFE WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT! What dignity do these folks have when they leave everything just for a chance?

I probably should have waited before writing this. Thus Camino has changed my life!!!

We just finished a one week pilgrimage here in the USA. I had not seen these pictures, but had seen others pics and I had these refugees on my mind for much of the walk. Regardless of your politics it is possible to pray, "Lord have Mercy". Thanks for sharing the link.

its an understatement to say its so sad to see this ..how in this supposed civilised day and age can people still be fighting over the same old thing ie land ,money, title to a country,we that have been lucky enough to walk the Camino have mostly met with kind and good people you just need to read the post regarding"camino angels " to see that good people are out there.many people believe these refugees want to come to "our "? countries to take what they can !! these people have/had homes ,jobs and families and it was not THEIR greed that forced them to move .. shame shame shame that this is happening!!
