For all planning to travel on May 1, 2023 --

In France, Spain and Portugal May 1 is Labor day/ Fête de Travail/ Día del Trabajador / Dia do Trabalho.
This is a public holiday and much will be closed. In 2023 it occurs on a Monday. Multitudes of tourists travel then.Transport and accommodation is usually heavily booked in advance.
Be prepared !!

June 15th to June 17th in Santiago, book now if you can. The music festival causes a severe bed crunch.

I would think they would be following Sunday and holiday schedules.
