Hey ladies--

Ann Taylor in the USA is having a sale and they have a good merino wool sweater down to 15 USD from 80 USD. Go into the website, and do a search on the item number. They take an extra 50% off of the 30 USD price to get to the 15 USD. Great deal! Honestly, guys might like them too.

Can't beat marino wool, really have to shop around in the UK to get the good deals, but they are not as good as the deals in Canada.

thanks a ton, Debrita! Just dropped big bucks, but what a deal!

Nice! did you order some stuff from A. Taylor?

@movinmaggie --I've been lurking around a little bit, but while I occasionally have lots to say, this has been one of my more introspective times. I've got family in town, had a death in the family about a month ago, and have been working the farm a lot. The farm....my garden is spectacular this year, and lettuce is amazing, along with zucchini, yellow squash, fennel, tomatoes, and much more. I take great delight in harvesting and sharing.

One of my best friends--and certainly one of my oldest friends (since we were 14)--was put on hospice a few weeks ago, and I spend a lot of time doing visits, and laughing with her while I've still got her around. Seize the day! Make hay while the sun shines!

So, between some family and friend needs, I've got a pregnant stepdaughter I'm encouraging along, and lots of hiking to do here in my beautiful state of Oregon, in the Pac NW.

Rest assured I will be making time for a long-distance walk, though. Not a pilgrimage per se', but I will be walking the West Highland Way in Scotland in August! I have the trip partially planned; it's three weeks long, and 10/21 days will be walking in Bonnie Scotland. I still need to look at where I will be the rest of the time, and my modus operandi---of getting there and finding a bed and food as I go---is not my husband's cuppa. He likes to know where the pillow and nightlight will be, so (ha ha!) I will need to get my planning apparatus together and get an itinerary going.

Love you guys---gals---pilgrims. Love much.

Deb

I wish merino wool didn't make me itch!

That's a shame.
How many years since you tried it?
In years past, it was the chemicals used to process it that made people itch;
they thought they were allergic to wool, but it was the chemicals used to process the wool.
Lately, however, it doesn't seem to bother me, especially if I order from a quality company.
Merino wool is as soft as down.
I love it.

I also just noticed this post was from 2016.
